4 Reasons You're Single and Hate it!

Every Christian platform screams “contentment” for single women, but doesn’t teach them what it looks like. Contentment isn’t about not wanting things, it’s about making the most of where you are as you move towards where you desire to be….But you can’t be content if you’re not living it up where you are!

So because I want singles to live their best single lives, here are 4 Reasons why you’re single and unfulfilled:

1. You think it’s a “season”

You’re born single. It’s not something you phase out of like watching Barney or wearing Apple Bottom jeans (what a time). The more you see it as a pass through to marriage, the less time you’ll spend living it up, and the less time you spend living the more you’ll blame it on being single and crew bitterness. If your desire is to be married, don’t waste your singlehood getting there.

2. You’re dating with a broken perspective

When your standards are rooted in your past trauma or when you let petty social media debates shape your lens of the dating market, everything about your dating experience is tainted. Tis leads to self-sabotage, chronic disappointment, and self-doubt instead of healing to a place where you’re empowered and confident that your desire can be met, and enjoying the experience overall.

3. You’re “waiting”

If you’ve heard me speak on this you know how I feel about the epidemic of single women “waiting.” Putting your life on hold and not experiencing the things you want because you’re hoping someone will come and save you from the pit of singleness, is NOT the move. Imagine how much richness you could bring to a future spouse by being well-rounded and well-lived! In other words: Buy the house. Take the trip. Take the job. Start the business. Get into the hobby. SHOOT YOUR SHOT! But for God sake….STOP WAITING

4. Your Community sucks!

Do hang with single women who are living their best lives? Are there married women you serve and glean from? Do you have dope men who look out for you?
